This policy explains what information DIY-DRY collects when you use this website or rent equipment from us, why we collect it, and who else sees it. If anything here is unclear, call us at 386-597-1132 and ask.
When you place a reservation we collect your name, phone number, email address, delivery address, the dates of your rental, and any delivery instructions or notes you choose to give us. We collect this because we cannot deliver equipment to you without it.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, your Social Security number, your date of birth, or your driver's license number. Photo identification is checked at delivery to confirm the name matches the reservation; we do not photograph or keep a copy of it.
Payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number is entered directly into Stripe's own secure fields and is sent to Stripe, not to us. DIY-DRY never sees, receives, or stores your full card number.
When you place an order, your payment method is kept on file with Stripe so that additional rental days or damage charges described in our Rental Terms can be charged without you going through checkout a second time. That card stays with Stripe. Stripe's own privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
The cart on this website is stored in your own browser using local storage. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to us while you are browsing, and it is not shared with anyone. Clearing your browser data clears your cart.
We use your phone number to reach you about your rental — confirming your order, telling you when the truck is on the way, arranging pickup, and answering questions you send us. That contact may be a phone call or a text message.
By giving us your phone number you agree to receive these calls and texts from DIY-DRY. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of renting from us. How often we text depends entirely on your rental — there is no marketing list and no recurring campaign. Your carrier’s normal message and data rates may apply.
You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. Reply HELP to any message, or call 386-597-1132, if you need help. Stopping texts does not cancel your rental — we will call you instead.
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing. It is used only to service your rental, and is shared only with the messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf.
We use Google Analytics to understand general traffic patterns — how many people visit, which pages they read, which devices they use. We use it to improve the website. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine analytics data with your reservation details.
Deliveries and pickups may be recorded on body-worn cameras. This protects both you and us — it documents the condition of the equipment at drop-off and collection, and where it was placed. Recordings are kept only as long as needed for that purpose and for resolving any dispute about the rental. They are not sold, published, or shared with anyone except as required by law.
Your information is shared only with the services needed to complete your rental: Stripe for payment, and our email provider for sending your confirmation. We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers or marketing lists.
Reservation records are kept for as long as needed to run the business, resolve any dispute about a rental, and meet tax and accounting requirements.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 386-597-1132 or email diydryrental@gmail.com. Some records must be retained for tax purposes even after a deletion request, and we will tell you if that applies.
If you would rather not have your card kept on file after your rental is complete, call us and we will remove it from Stripe.
This website is not directed at children. Renters must be 21 or older.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
